Privacy Policy — Tab Organizer Pro

What data is stored

Tab Organizer Pro stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local):

• Domain visit counts — how many times you've activated a tab on a given domain (e.g., "github.com: 12 visits")
• Last visit timestamps — when you last visited a domain

This data is used solely to determine tab activity levels (Hot, Active, Recent, Stale, Inactive) for the "Organize by Activity" and "Smart Organize" features.

What data is NOT collected

• No full URLs or page paths are stored — only domain names
• No page content, form data, or personal information is accessed
• No browsing history is exported or logged beyond domain-level visit counts
• No cookies, passwords, or authentication data is accessed

Data sharing

Tab Organizer Pro does not transmit any data to external servers. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party services. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Data retention

Usage data is stored in Chrome's local storage and persists until you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data. You can remove the extension at any time to delete all stored data.

Permissions used

• tabs — to read tab URLs and titles for categorization
• tabGroups — to create and manage Chrome tab groups
• storage — to store domain visit frequency locally
• activeTab — to detect which tab is currently active

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
